Safer Car - Forward Collision
Safety Technology
Understanding vehicle safety features is critical when purchasing a car. For over 30 years, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has driven hi-tech safety innovations and helped consumers buy safer cars through its 5-Star Safety Ratings System. Starting with 2011 models, enhanced technology is paving the way for more rigorous testing, and ultimately safer cars.

Scania completes its changeover to Euro 6 technology
with the world’s most powerful truck
“Now Scania has all the technical solutions and also the engine platform needed to fulfil the Euro 6 emission standards that go into effect at the end of 2013,” said Jonas Hofstedt, Senior Vice President Powertrain at a press conference earlier today where Scania presented its new V8 truck range to international trade media. This marked the last step in creating a new engine platform for Euro 6. Featuring 3500 Nm and 730 hp, Scania’s new top-of-the-line V8 has the highest torque and power ratings of any truck engine.

Logistics and the supply chain
Logistics is the science of organising the timely shipment of
goods or information by the most efficient route. This does not
just mean finished goods, but all of the components and materials required to create them. Goods do not just travel from producer to
market – they also travel back again, not least when rejected
by consumers or under end of life legislation.
This is known as reverse logistics. Logistics management
has been defined as the right item in the right quantity at
the right time at the right place for the right price.
The means by which goods travel from the producer to
the consumer is known as the supply chain.
