Toyota Motor Corp. has appointed Shigeki Terashi, president of the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, as new president and chief operating officer of its U.S. manufacturing subsidiary, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America.Terashi, 57, replaces Tetsuo Agata, 58, who will return to Japan after a three-year appointment as president of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, based in Erlanger, Ky.
Terashi will remain president of Toyota's North American technical center.
Kazuhiro Miyauchi, 54, has been appointed executive vice president of purchasing, production control and logistics control at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing. He served previously as managing officer for Toyota Motor Corp.'s purchasing project management and unit parts division in Japan.
