People don’t usually get a chance to see what goes on inside an auto plant. GM Tonawanda Engine
plant Senior Quality Engineer Lisa Kehoe thought if customers saw what
goes into building a modern vehicle, they’d be surprised and delighted.
So she put together a plan.Lisa has worked for GM for 11 years, and after the company suffered through some less-than-favorable publicity during 2009 she had two specific thoughts. First, she felt fortunate to still have a job with GM. Second, she thought “What can I do to help change the average person’s view of the company?” She thought if people could see the care, quality and craftsmanship that went into the engines built at her plant, they’d have new appreciation for their GM products.
