Assunto: AIAG Supply Chain Data Network Connectivity Rollout

Mensagem: Since March 2010, OEMs, suppliers and connectivity service providers have collaborated on an initiative to identify new opportunities to streamline existing services, reduce waste and costs, and enhance efficiencies in the supply chain’s EDI and engineering data network connectivity domains.

The Electronic Supplier Network Connectivity Project:
• Defines the current state of connectivity within the automotive industry.
• Provides the existing connectivity landscape at OEMs.
• Provides a snapshot of new private network offerings and advancements.
• Provides the customer’s position on emerging and existing Internet-based options for connectivity.

Presentations from key OEMs will highlight the Collaborative Supply Chain Data Network Connectivity event. The program will focus on the collaborative work accomplished by AIAG to identify the present OEM connectivity landscape, increase telecommunication efficiencies, review new viable options, and reduce cost/complexity in the supply chain. Suppliers and service provider presentations will outline their strategies to support this effort.
